It is our intention to provide our clients with a professional and therapeutic massage experience. The following policies and procedures serve as a guide for first-time and regular clients.

At Advanced Alternatives, we understand that unanticipated events occur in everyone’s life. Unforeseen events such as last minute meetings, traffic considerations, and unexpected events, are just a few reasons why one might consider canceling their massage appointment.
In our commitment to provide a unique and outstanding massage experience to all of our clients and out of consideration for our therapists’ time, we have adopted the following policies:

PAYMENT POLICY

Regular payment is required at the time of service.
We accept Cash, Check, Master Card, Visa, Discover, and most HSA/FSA payment cards.
We offer %off discounts for multiple pre-pay treatments. *Please inquire for details.
Upon request, Advanced Alternatives will provide you with a super bill receipt for services that can be submitted to your insurance company for reimbursement.

ARRIVAL TO YOUR MASSAGE APPOINTMENT

Please arrive for your onsite massage appointment 5 minutes prior to the scheduled starting time. This allows you the time for a relaxed and unhurried experience.
You will receive a short Intake form that will ask for information about your health. We request that you fill this out as completely as possible so we may customize your treatment.
We request your email address so we may add you to our email Newsletter list. Included you will find interesting Articles, Health Tips, and Stress Free Massage Savings Coupons for future appointments. We promise NO SPAM! You may unsubscribe at any time.

LATE ARRIVAL POLICY

If late arrival is inevitable, your service(s) MAY be shortened in order to keep on schedule.
No full or partial refunds will be given.
> In special cases, and when our schedule will allow, we may be able to accommodate a partial or full appointment. This will be at our discretion and only with proper, advanced notification of your late arrival. The original appointment fee will be charged.

CANCELLATION POLICY

Due to the high volume of clients in pain and seeking services, your appointment is considered a billable and/or a Pre-Paid time slot.

Please provide at least 24 hours’ notice if you need to reschedule or cancel your appointment. This gives us enough time to fill this time slot.

Your Credit Card information may be required in order to secure your appointment and shall be charged the full appointment fee should you fail to attend your appointment without notice.

PLEASE, be considerate of your therapists time and others who are in pain and need to be seen.

If you fail to cancel 24 hours before your massage appointment, an invoice for the cost of service will be issued and/or payment may be charged to your Card on file.

Future appointments may be require pre-payment.

*emergency issues may be discussed with your Therapist only.

Please remit payment within 10 days of receipt to avoid collection procedures.

INFORMED CONSENT

Prior to each massage session, a projected treatment plan will be discussed. During your session, your therapist will use therapeutic massage techniques and depth of pressure according to your comfort level. Please tell us immediately if you have sensitivity or pain. We will immediately adjust our pressure according to your feedback. Our Goal is Your Wellbeing!

SCOPE OF PRACTICE

Advanced Alternatives’ massage therapists are licensed professionals and held to the highest standards of the American Massage Therapy Association, Florida State Massage Therapy Association and National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork.

Massage Therapy is a profession in which the practitioner applies manual techniques, and may apply adjunctive therapies, with the intention of positively affecting the health and well-being of the client.

Advanced Alternatives’ massage therapists do not diagnose or prescribe for medical conditions nor are they allowed to provide treatment for a specific condition without a doctor’s supervision. Our therapists are required to refer you for diagnosis and to follow recommendations of your physician.

CONFIDENTIALITY AND CONVERSATION

Any discussion between you and your massage therapist is confidential. You may or may not choose to talk during your massage.
We are happy to listen to your conversation and share our professional expertise. We prefer to not discuss topics of a political, private or sexual nature.

EXISTING AND NEW MEDICAL CONDITIONS

It is your responsibility to keep your therapist informed of any medical treatment currently being taken, and to inform your physician, chiropractor, physical therapist, etc., that you are adding Therapeutic Massage to your treatment plan. We are happy to consult with them so we can all be on the same page in treating your condition.
